Nice work! I like the colors and the pose, although the advice I could give you for the shadows is trying to add some purple in your shadings :3 Especially on the skin, it tends to give more depth to the colors ;3

For novice work it's really good, both textures and art are pretty neat! I'm novice level in animation too, and I don't think I could do better ;3
Only thing I'd have to say that could use a bit of modification would be the background, in my opinion it could look truely perfect if it looped in one direction instead of going right and left, otherwise everything else is great :D

Keep it up, can't wait to see more!
